In Kenya, we are privileged to have traditional dishes which we can make a healthy add-on to enrich our breakfast experience. Amenjera Ketsibande (Githeri) is one such dish authentic Kenyan cuisine. This is rich meal which serves as an all day meal from breakfast, lunch,brunch and supper.

It is both simple to prepare and very nutritious. This makes is also affordable for many Kenyans to enjoy. The ingredients of Amenjera Ketsibande (Githeri) may differ slightly from one ethic group to the other depending on what grains are readily available from their locality.

At Amaica, Amenjera Ketsibande (Githeri) is a traditional combination of a well balanced ratio of fresh white corn, Bambaranuts and groundnuts boiled all together in a traditional African pot. Once ready, it is fried with onions ,and a tomato blend for that wet succulency. Depending on your preference, you can add chillies.
